Ok so if you just want to spectate and not race, do you have to pay/book?? I just want to see if I can fly my drone and record some of this stuff....
BTW I wear all the orange PPE crap at work, so I have it all... that way you cannot say you did not see me out in the field filming, if you hit me!! :wtf

Can we get some solid info on the noise regs too because I want to bring a car that won't get slung off. 87 db drive by will definitely rule out A6TTA and probably the V8 too.
A6TTA Still the fastest Alpine ever timed at Brunty ;0)

98db Static. Allegedly equivalent to 87.5 drive by.

What I am trying to establish is if it has been lowered since we last went.

Not at this stage. Just need to get the participating cars booked in first. I'll find out if drones are allowed. Would be great if they are but its an airfield again and they are getting stricter all the time expecially with idiots like the guy at Heathrow this week.

Drive by does NOT have any relation or equivalence to drive by.

Static is no-load sound
Drive by is "under load" sound which is why at Goodwood they often suggest (ask really) that on certain parts of the circuit you stay to one side a bit more and change up a little earlier.

Some rally escorts sound like road cars on static and wild animals under load with all the induction noises.

Yes I know but all circuits still quote them anyway. These are just Bruntingthorpes figures and they say that in their experience "most" cars that meet 98 static are ok.

They do not actuallly measure static noise at Bruntingthorpe only drive by. So as I said before we just need to see if they have changed the limits in the last 5 years or so and if not we should be ok :-)
